Robin Hobb: Amber and Paragonby *frodo-lives

First art of the new year! Yay!

EDIT: I did a few fixes - Amber's face, and some of the background - so I'm uploading a new file.

Continuing my series of portraits of Robin Hobb's Fool
(aka Amber aka Lord Golden aka Beloved)

From the "Liveship Traders" trilogy - "Ship of Magiic", if I'm not mistaken.

Amber is camping out on the beach where Paragon is stranded, to protect him from being chopped up for his wizardwood. She tells him all the things she sees, since he does not have eyes any more, to see for himself.

For those who don't know the books - Paragon is a ship's figurehead magically come to life. And he's got a serious mental health problem.

Aww Amber is such a tree hugger ....

Just got into the Realm of Elderlings "series of book series." Ordered Liveship Traders after finishing the first two Rain Wilds Chronicle volumes.

My favourites are the "Tawny Man" books - a continuation of the first trilogy, which is set in a different area of the same world.
